Merging Neuroscience, Wellness & Sensory Design
Over a decade ago, I founded the world’s first sensory wellness agency: Arigami. Our work fundamentally reshaped how brands approach sensory experience design across industries.
As of 2026, Arigami merged with the COCUN Institute, a new wellness research organization seeking to develop a new model for integrated wellness living.

Neuroaesthetics: The Arts and Design as Medicine
For decades, the design industry has viewed art as an amenity. It is often the final layer of a project, a decorative afterthought selected to complement a color palette or fill a blank lobby wall. But as the evidence for art as medicine continues to pile up, a profound shift is underway.

Sensory Wellness: Balancing the Multisensory Mind in Built Environments
As a neuroscientist, my work centers on a fundamental truth: our brains do not process environments in a vacuum. Every color, texture, sound, and scent changes our brain chemistry and alters our stress responses.
